Arrowhead Adventures — Team Building & More!

The UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center proudly serves groups from all over the world, with all types of attendees, objectives, and agendas. We’ve learned that the key to creating and maintaining a successful business, operation, or team lies in strengthening the connections between people. As a result, we’ve created Arrowhead Adventures — Team Building & More! These facilitator-led fun and stimulating activities are suitable for all ages and abilities and promote problem solving, teamwork, and individual commitment.

Each activity is an optional “add-on” to enhance your group’s conference experience. Our Conference Coordinators work with you to design a program specific to the goals of your conference, or you can select from our list of various activities to customize your experience. Prices vary according to program and group size.

Professional Team Building Programs (Year-Round)

These programs provide an experience that incorporates communication and cooperation, decision-making and conflict resolution, and commitment to common objectives in an environment that encourages risk taking and change. These team building activities also motivate participants to use their talents to achieve the greatest results both individually and as a team, reinforcing that trust and communication are keys to success.

These programs are tailor made by our team building facilitators to ensure that the specific needs and requests of your group are integrated into every event. Activities involve physical challenges, creative thinking, and problem solving. Activities are designed so everyone can participate, regardless of physical fitness levels.

Room Escape Challenge(Year-Round)

Locked in a mysterious room together, your group must work against the clock to solve one puzzle after another — with each success building on the last — until they achieve freedom…or until time runs out. The Room Escape Challenge takes a good mix of cooperation, determination and know-how to master.

Bruin Chef Challenge (Year-Round)

In this fun activity, groups work together in teams while testing their culinary skills. Groups are divided into teams of five to ten people, with up to five teams per challenge. Bruin Chef incorporates skill with creative thinking, communication, and risk-taking. It’s also a great way to create healthy competition within your group. Our chef judges and debriefs each team upon completion of the culinary challenge.

Mountain Biking (Seasonal)

Mountain biking in beautiful Lake Arrowhead is one of the most exhilarating and scenic activities we offer. Our facilitators specialize in guided group and individual bike tours. Tours are available for beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Tours can be as brief as one hour or as long as an all-day adventure. The most important goal is to maximize your group’s enjoyment, whether it’s to ride at a leisurely pace or to step it up with a more advanced ride.

Kayaking Adventures (Seasonal)

Kayaking on Lake Arrowhead is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and use fitness as a way to create positive interaction and teamwork within your group.
This guided tour is a unique way to build relationships with your employees, challenge their abilities, re-energize your group, and foster team synergy.

High Ropes Challenge Course (Year-Round)

This course can be booked as part of the Professional Team Building Programs or separately, as a more individual-based adventure. The Challenge Course is based on a “challenge-by-choice” philosophy, with all activities being voluntary, empowering each person to perform to his or her fullest potential, securely and without pressure. Participants are challenged to overcome their perceived limitations, step outside of their comfort zones, and accomplish more than they ever imagined possible. Some aspects involve low-impact activity, and others focus on creative thinking and problem solving.
